In the heart of the Margaret River Wine Region, a 10 minute drive from the vibrant activity of Margaret River township, you will discover your own private hideaway.
There is only one guest cottage at Olive Hill Farm, providing accommodation for up to 8 people. Guests enjoy the exclusive use of our charming and spacious 3 bedroom Settler’s cottage. Dating from 1922, it has been beautifully restored with attention to retaining its original character of time and place. Imagine you could escape from the frantic pace of your daily life and simply relax and “restore” yourself… When did you last get away and share quality time with the important people in your life?
On arrival at the cottage, smell the aroma of the home made bread and in your own time, sit on the veranda (or in front of the log burning fire in winter) and enjoy tasting Olive Hill Farm extra virgin olive oil, with our compliments. For your convenience, we also provide a breakfast hamper for the first morning of your stay – so whenever you choose to start your day, you will know that breakfast is waiting.
Acres of superb private gardens surround the cottage. Rich in native birds and animals, look out for visits from Peter, the ring-tailed possum. The wonderful wildlife that unobtrusively finds a haven here is a delight to everyone. With plenty of space to run and play, children also love to climb on the large mulberry tree or dig in the shaded sandpit below it. Sit back and watch from the veranda or perhaps join in and have a game of croquet. A wide variety of fruit trees offer a range of healthy snacks. You are welcome to taste any of them, when in season.
Exercising at Olive Hill Farm is a pleasure. Walk 2.3 kms through the native bushland, along a quiet gravel road and reward yourself with a beer or meal at the renowned Colonial Brewery. Enjoy a peaceful stroll in the olive groves or walk around the farm and down to the Margaret River, taking in all of nature’s beauty. For the more adventurous, a refreshing swim in the expansive river pools is invigorating.
For the ultimate indulgence, take advantage of a range of beauty therapies and massages, without leaving the comfort of your cottage. We can also arrange some of these treatments under the gazebo on the banks of the Margaret River – a unique experience.
With poor mobile phone and TV reception, should you need an excuse to be unavailable to answer to your hectic lifestyle, this is your opportunity to feel time slowing down, capturing quality time for yourself with loved ones.
