Horse Spelling & Agistment
We are now taking notes of interest from owners looking for Spelling or Agistment for their horse or ponies – prices from $40/wk – Update! Closed for Horse Agistment 2019 – 2020
We focus on providing a quiet, safe farm for Spelling, Horse Holidays or to Retire your horse on. There are a limited number of spaces for Agistment and Rehabilitation Care.
Services & Pricing Schedule:
Spelling/ Retirement (short or long term) – $40 per week
Holiday Agistment – $40 per week or $20 per day
Rehabilitation/ Care Agistment – $40 per week plus other costs dependant on requirements (Max 2 horses in our care at any one time)
DIY Agistment – $40 per week (5 horses max on the farm)
Full Paddock Board – $130 per week (rugs on/ off as required, hay supplied by us and 1 hard feed per day given at owners cost)
Extra Services:
Horse handling and worming on arrival and payment schedule setup $30
Handling for vet, worming, farrier, etc. – $20 per handling
Nursing / Rehabilitation Care for your horse (eg poltice changes)- $POA dependant on requirements
Extra Facilities & Management:
Float parking – Free
Tack storage – Free (Coming soon)
Feed Storage – Free
Farrier – by appointment
Farrier and trainer – by appointment for those tricky to shoe horses
Teeth Rasping – by appointment
Hay – $60 per 5 foot hay roll, cost usually divided by the number of horses in the group (up to 6 horses per group)
* Extra services/ facility/ Management fees, when incurred, are added to clients monthly fee.
All horses are wormed onto the farm when they first arrive at a cost of $30 to the owner. This is done as they come off the float regardless of when the horse was last wormed, to ensure we control good health of our pasture and horses spelling on our farm.
All spelling horses and grouped horse if wearing shoes, have their hind shoes removed.
Insurance:
Horse owners are liable for all insurance for their horse and public liablitiy for Agistment, Spelling and Rehabilitation care. Copies of their insurance are to be given to Olive Hill Farm. All riding activities on Olive Hill Farm are at the horse owner and riders own risk.
The farm is divided in to 12 paddocks by horse safe electric fencing. Horses are kept in groups of upto 6 or individually depending on their requirements and/ or package chosen.
If you do not live locally we will also be offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation ensuring you can enjoy the time with your horse on our farm and the Margaret River Region.
Benji and Helen pride themselves on offering an Honest, Reliable, Quality, Tailored, Service, ensuring the best care for all horses on their farm. The farm/ pasture is very well maintained (ensured as pasture is rotated with cattle and sheep) and Helen is a vet.
